This replacement window latch plate is original on many Airstreams from the 1970’s up to 2008. It is used with VTS-1094 window latch. 

Although the originals were installed with tubular rivets, the installation this way requires specialized tools. Some people prefer to use pop rivets to avoid investing in tubular rivet tools. If you use pop rivets you may find that the bulge on the back end of the rivet interferes with proper window closing. 

To install the original way using tubular rivets you will need these rivets and tools;

  • VTS-3003 1/8″ semi tubular rivets
  • VTS-835S rivet squeezer tool
  • VTS-689F and VTS-689G dies 
Made from 304 stainless steel. 3″ x 1-3/16″ overall size.
