Includes 50 stainless steel screws and 50 stainless steel stamped tension nuts.

Throughout much of the 1950s and 1960s, the most popular style of windows used on travel trailers was the Hehr Standard model. Airstream used them routinely from 1952-1958.  They continued to be used in some select applications into the 1970s. These awning-style windows are characterized by square corners, but a round-corner look.

The glass is held in with aluminum brackets screwed in place from behind using #8-32 slotted truss head machine screws and #8-32 stamped stainless steel tension nuts. The original stamped nuts are self-locking and very hard to find. Our package of 50 screws and 50 nuts will allow you to replace missing or rusty fasteners on two or more windows.

Installation note: these nuts have teeth on one side.  Orient them so that they dig into the aluminum glass retainer strip as shown in the context photo.
